Seasons Greetings from my studio!

Year-end is always incredibly hectic and busy in the studio - this year was EXTRA as we assembled, packaged, and shipped over 450 Holiday ornaments!

I'm so grateful for all of the love, support, and enthusiasm for my ornaments this year. It's been a wild ride, but SO worth it! The positive feedback on the design and abundance of happy customers has been incredibly heartwarming.
I've learned so much and have a mountain of ideas on how to improve my ornament order and fulfillment process for next year.
I have exactly 5 ornaments left ā€“ if you're looking for a last minute gift, here's your opportunity to snag the last of this year's model! Once they're gone, they're gone forever!

Speaking of busy, this past Friday was by far my most non-stop day of the seasonā€¦

I kicked it off by giving a 3-minute ā€œpitchā€ at my local Creative Mornings chapter in Raleigh. Over 100 people attended and I managed to cover my car crash, the beginnings of Folded Poetry, my acoustic product line with Unika Vaev, and my ornament sales - all within that small window of time!
I was amongst 10 folks who volunteered and were selected to speak for the short allotted time. It was an exercise in discernment, brevity, and bravery.
I'm proud of myself for showing up!

Right after the event concluded, I rushed back to Durham for a site-installation. My clients Sarah and Howard recently moved houses and took their Crystal Palace art installation with them across town! Click the button below to see the original installation.

I encouraged them to hire local art installer extraordinaire Caelum at Aesthete Fine Art to complete the installation located 30ft above an open stairwell. I was able to play the assistant role this time - whereas last time I was up on the ladder (phew!)

It's hard to describe how precarious and tedious this installation really was. It took both of us 9 hours to position all the screws and hang the iridescent acrylic diamond clusters.
(We listened to Christmas music the entire time.)

We are all thrilled with the result - which appears deceptively effortless.
I'm looking forward to seeing the daytime professional photography of Crystal Palace V2! (or V2F -- F for Final as I hope this is the last time we move this artwork! šŸ˜…)
Below are my favorite photos from the installation.

So much gratitude to Sarah and Howard for being both steadfast supporters of my work and wonderful friends!

That's all for this year. Thank you so much for following along my creative journey and for all of your love and enthusiasm for Folded Poetry.
Mikie and I are off to Santa Fe for a destination Christmas including skiing/snowboarding and hot springs relaxation time!
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones from my home and studio!
