Heading into this year I was expecting it was going to be busy based the previous years’ growth along with the construction of our new facility across the road.
2024 wasn’t what I expected, nothing like it, it was huge! It had some significant hurdles to overcome personally with in the team however Lawn Addicts exploded in all directions. With partnering with Lilydale Instant lawn as well as partnering with other significant sporting organisations plus SEN Radio and expanding our services to now specialise in sports and residential turf supply, sports field, and turfed wicket consultation. All these elements have contributed to the success of this year, and the business grew exponentially.
The new facility, purposefully built to suit the day-to-day operations of Lawn Addicts, is triple the size of all 4 current units collectively. Purpose built will make us more efficient than ever.
A lot of you have seen Lawn Addicts grow from humble beginnings to what it is today, some of you can even go back far enough have been served in our driveway by either myself (probably inappropriately dressed) or Belinda while dinner is burning on the stove. I can honestly say though, besides the growth, nothing has changed. I still have the same values that drove me to start my first social media group to help others in the southern areas of the country. Never being driven by money, a genuine love of lawn and helping others is where I am at. I try to be on the coal face and always plan to be, nothing gives me a kick like a happy customer that has a great testimonial.
I now have incredible support with an amazing team, Belinda, Baxter, Hudson, Rachel, Jono, Raelene, now Jack and another starting early next month. I have some amazing mentors and now becoming close friends. Each of them know how much they mean to me and sorry for being cranky at times.
On to You! Others claim they have the best customers, its not a claim I’d throw around lightly if they knew our story. This is emotional journey for me, it’s all of you who have supported me that has given me the gift of pursuing a dream, achieving the unthinkable and creating something very special that’s helped me through a tough time in my life.
Everyday I pinch myself, and will be forever grateful for the opportunities presented to me
It doesn't mean much to say Lawn Addicts the best customers anymore, but I sure as hell love all you to the moon and back and walk over hot coals for you for what you have done (actually that's a stretch, I get told have nice supple feet)… Thank you!
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you and your families have a wonderful new year, please be safe and remember your PPE.
