Howdy First name / friend,

Thanks for having me here today! How’s January treating you so far? Did you set a few goals for 2025 that you’re actively working on—or perhaps just mulling over? If so, I’ve got a nugget of wisdom that could be the game-changer you need.

When it comes to sustainable goals—the kind that truly stick and weave themselves into the fabric of your life—it’s vital to know your why.

Why are you making this change?

Why is it important to you?

Why aren’t you happy to just leave things as they are?

Here’s why knowing your why matters: when things get tough (and they likely will), when the new goal feels hard, or when sticking with it seems out of reach, your why is what pulls you through.

Just as a clearly defined goal provides direction, a clearly defined why gives you protection—it’s your safety net. Think of it like an insurance policy: you hope you won’t need it, but it’s comforting to know it’s there when the unexpected happens.

And the best whys are emotionally charged and align with your core values.
For example:

  • “I’m losing 10 kg to fit into a dress.”
    vs.
  • “I’m shedding the weight of years of avoiding emotional discomfort through food. By July 2025, I’ll proudly wear the dress I bought for my son’s wedding.”

Which one do you think has more power when you’re standing in the supermarket aisle, facing down an ice cream craving?

When you combine a clear goal with a compelling why, you give your mind a powerful way to refocus on what you truly want—helping you achieve your goals and rediscover your inner strength.

Wishing you all the best on your journey!
