¡feliz año nuevo!

Welcome to 2025!  I hope you had a wonderful break spent with family and friends.  As the new semester starts, here are some fun and interactive ways to begin your school year.

At the beginning of each January there are two great holidays to teach.  I start with teaching about New Year's Eve traditions in Spanish-speaking countries such as las uvas and the students enjoy writing New Year's resolutions.  Visit our Nochevieja section of our website for tons of resources including quick and easy videos to show your students.

After learning about Nochevieja, we celebrate los Reyes Magos by writing “Secret Kings” letters and exchanging fun gifts.  It is also a great way to make cultural comparisons.  See these lessons on our website to make your teaching easier.

As 2024 has come to a close, the one year anniversary of losing Amy is upon us.  In honor of her, Amy's favorite video is a must see for today.  Visit our website to watch the video Cuerdas and the free activities that go along with it.

Have a wonderful New Year!

all the best in your teaching endeavors,
Katie
