Welcome to the first day of 2025, and Day 06 of Threshold!

 

How are you feeling on Day 01 of 2025? Today I am excited to share the work of Lisa K, another neighbor, friend, and collaborator. Lisa's tarot readings are some of the best I have ever received. I always feel so held by her combination of Aquarius, and Cancer energy. Lisa's magic is profound, and her work has helped me stabilize during times when my desire to grow both excites and scares me.

 

Lisa has such a direct connection to the multidimensional world, and yet, always meets people where they are. I hope her piece for Threshold helps you Synthesize your experiences during this many-layered moment in time. Enjoy.

 

Hello Dear Threshold Friends,

 

When I tune into the energy around our transition from 2024 to 2025, the word that comes forward is synthesis. I love this word - and I especially love this word for this moment, as we take a breath at the end of a year that felt overwhelming for so many of us.

 

Needless to say, 2024 has been a lot. As our collective Strength / Justice year in Tarot numerology, 2024 has asked us to show up for ourselves and each other in powerful ways, big and small. It has been a year that has required us to witness, hold, and engage with so much - from heartbreaking grief, unfathomable destruction, and head-spinning contradiction, to profound beauty, deep connection, and awe-inspiring compassion. It has been a year that has asked us to explore our capacity to stay grounded and attuned to our own humanity as we hold and consider multiple truths. 

 

The Cambridge Dictionary defines synthesis as “the act of combining different ideas or things to make a whole that is new and different from the items considered separately” or “the production of chemical compounds by reaction from simpler materials.”  When we synthesize, we transform separate elements that may not be doing us much good on their own into a more complex singular energy that can contribute to our growth and evolution in more effective ways.  Maybe it’s possible to synthesize some of our grief and fear into an expanded capacity for change. Maybe frustration, fatigue, and isolation can be synthesized into a deeper connection with others. 

 

As we head into 2025, our collective Hermit year in the Tarot, I invite you to explore the concept of synthesis. What disparate elements that have been with you in 2024 are ready to be synthesized into a new, more generative energy that you can take with you into the new year? I’m sharing a special synthesis-inspired card spread below to help inspire your synthesis experience.

 

I also recommend listening to your favorite synthesizer-heavy songs in the coming weeks to get things moving. Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” is a great place to start!

You will need a Tarot or Oracle card deck of your choice, a journal, and a pen.

 

To begin, clear, ground, and settle into yourself and your space. Take a few minutes to sit quietly bringing your attention inward and arriving in the present moment. Consider setting an intention and/or calling in your guides for assistance.

What elements in me are ready to be synthesized as we come to the end of 2024, our collective Strength year?

 

What energies are needed to synthesize these elements into something new for me to take into 2025?

 

What new energy will result from this synthesis? This is an energy/archetype you might consider continuing to work with alongside the Hermit in 2025.

Here is the first reveal of Lisa's workshop in Emanate.

In this introductory workshop, participants will learn methods to tap into their inner knowing, heart, and intuition to cultivate self-trust and create their work in the world with intention. Lisa will share tried and true tools from her intuitive work to connect to and explore our psychic space, tune into guides, our higher self, wise ancestors, and any energies that help us align with our vision.
