Hi First name / friend,
There is a saying - “People tend to overestimate what they can accomplish in a day, but underestimate what they can accomplish in a year.” Isn't that the TRUTH?
I can never seem to get to the bottom of my daily ‘to do list’, but when I look back over the last 12 months, it's amazing how much we've accomplished.
Last year at this time, TK & I sat down with our
Big Ass Calendar to map out our plans for 2024. It was a big year with a lot of moving pieces.
We had a pretty orchestrated plan - to move to OHCC, start our real estate business & craft a more family-oriented, active retirement lifestyle. We laid out steps for each quarter/month/week/day. We worked the plan, made adjustments along the way…
And, here we are!
Living down the street from our folks, golfing, pickleballing, making lots of new friends & growing a thriving real estate business. It's pretty amazing what you can accomplish in a year when you set your mind to it, create a plan and allow it to unfold without hanging on too tight to the details.
If you've got big dreams or looming change ahead for 2025, I hope you will allow yourself to dive into it. You just might surprise yourself next year as you look back at all you accomplished.
There's another saying - “The days are long, but the years are short.”
There's a lot of truth in that statement, too. Every year seems to fly by just a bit faster than the one before. All the more reason to grab onto that vision you have for your new year and start outlining a plan to get there. You can accomplish a lot in a year!
