Looking Back on 2024

2024 proved to be an outstanding year for Project Yet. We hosted more than 20 events, including our enchanting masquerade gala, engaged in community volunteering, and received a generous land donation, bringing us significantly closer to our vision of offering temporary housing for young adults. The masquerade gala was a highlight, from the generous support of our sponsors, the magic of the venue, Canopy & the Roots, and the amazing food provided by Room99, we truly came together as a community. The event not only raised much needed funds but also heightened awareness about our mission.
Our community volunteering initiatives allowed us to give back, something that is an integral part of the vision and values of Project Yet. Volunteers from all over joined hands to support hurricane relief efforts and make a lasting impact in our community. The generous land donation marked a pivotal moment for Project Yet. Affordable housing is a scarce resource and a great need within the young adult community. Our Project Yet house concept will be a community center and home base for our organization while also offering short term housing to help young adults launch successfully into adulthood.

The power of connection and community.  Since Project Yet's beginning 3 years ago, we have helped over 100 young adults through our workshops on adulting topics, community outings and experiences, and seen lasting friendships develop that are priceless.  We have donated cars to young adults that otherwise would not be able to obtain employment.  We have helped young adults furnish their 1st apartments.  Our mentor and mentee relationships positively impact both the young adults and the more experienced adults who provide friendship and guidance.  We have had young adults enter the military, we are about to have our 2nd Project Yet wedding, and we have aided young adults to secure dental and medical care that they desperately needed.  We proudly have seen young adults get their GED, driver's licenses, their first passports, and enroll in college. Through all of this success, it is the power of bringing people together in community that really has changed lives.  Want to witness it for yourself?  Join us as a young adult, a friend of Project Yet, mentor, or committee member.

Thank you for being a part of the Project Yet community.
