Washington has sent 35 firefighters and 10 fire engines to support efforts against the massive Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, which has burned over 10,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 structures. Crews from Puget Sound, Seattle, and Shoreline Fire are among those deployed, joining teams from neighboring states.
Nonprofits like World Vision have also mobilized, sending emergency supplies including food, water, and blankets. President Biden declared a major disaster, ensuring federal aid as responders work tirelessly to protect lives and contain the blaze.
