If we were asked to sum up the doctrine and covenants in two words, it would be these:  ASK GOD.
Maybe you would like a banner like this to hang in your home all year.  If so, you can find it here!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE TIPINS?

We are so excited about the new tip-ins for this year.  Here is what we envisioned when we were creating these… an experience where you can gather with any age group (adults, teens, kids)  to have a meaningful discussion once a week.  All of the tip-ins for every age group work together to create a lesson experience for every age.  Instead of having a separate journal, our hope is that your scriptures will become your journal this year!  You can write your notes in the wide margin scriptures, and place this tip-in inside the pages.  Created so the whole family could study together, and so that you would end the year with a book of scripture filled with the lessons we all study together.

We will walk you through how to use the tip-ins each week during our lesson.  Then you can find a time that works best for your family to study together and do your scripture journaling.

These tip-ins are a combination of facts and context to help you understand each section better, along with questions in worksheet form to allow you to find application from each section in your own life.  It’s the best of both worlds written in a format to fit right inside your scriptures so you will never forget the learning from this Doctrine and Covenants year.

TIP-INS for Kids
Listen to the primary song, My Own Sacred Grove.  Then talk about where each of your kids can find a quiet place to pray.  Have them write or draw that place on their tip-in.

TIP-INS for teens
Prayers can happen in many different places.  Sometimes we kneel, sometimes we say a prayer in our heart.  Sometimes we pray in church, other times around our kitchen table.  Some prayers are said in quiet and private places.  If your teens were to choose their own sacred grove, where would it be?

TIP-INS for individuals and couples
What are the questions you are praying about right now?  What is to be done?  And how will you know?  The tip-in this week helps inquirers seeking truth follow a similar pattern that Joseph did to find answers.  Take some time this week to study these eight verses and see what you learn.

We love studying with you!
