2025 Joy Playlist

I don't know about y'all, but I'm feeling quite a bit of uncertainty heading into 2025. I've decided I'm going to center my joy, the joy of my kids, the joy of my partner, and the joy of the FBW community.

 

There is nothing like music to pull you out of a funk, bring back a special memory, or remind you of a loved one. Like how every time I hear Anita Baker I'm reminded of my beloved Uncle Johnny who played her every morning getting ready for his day.

 

I've compiled a list of songs (mainly favs from last year's barre classes) to get me through when I need to dig deep to find joy and encourage you to do the same if you think it could be helpful.

Class sign-ups close nine hours before class is scheduled IF no one is scheduled for class. If there are participants signed up, class sign-ups close 45 minutes before class begins.

 

This window gives me time to prepare for both in person and online classes if there are indeed folx signed up. It also gives me a little spaciousness in my schedule to pivot (usually for family things or to handle FBW admin) if no one is planning on attending class that day.

 

If you plan on taking a class, be sure to sign up as early as possible before that nine hour window to ensure sign-ups won't be closed. It's easier to cancel a class after registering than to book it after the window has closed.

 

And if you stumble upon a little extra time and decide to take a class within the nine hour window, there's a chance it's available as long as at least one other client has signed up, so always check just in case.
