Coventry BID (Business Improvement District) is set to make strides in 2025 with a clear focus on creating a safe and secure environment for everyone who interacts with the area. As new members of the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships (NABCP), Coventry BID is enhancing its commitment to reducing crime and antisocial behavior while supporting economic growth.

Aims and Objectives for 2025:
Create a Safe and Secure Environment:
Ensuring that customers, staff, and visitors feel safe within the Coventry BID area. This includes measures to prevent crime and protect property.

Reduce the Fear of Crime:
Proactively addressing concerns about crime to instill confidence and peace of mind in the community. This can involve campaigns, community engagement, and visible policing efforts.

Reduce Opportunities for Crime and Antisocial Behaviour:
Implementing strategies to prevent crime before it happens, such as improving street lighting, CCTV surveillance, and promoting good business practices that discourage criminal activities.

Collaboration with Local Stakeholders:
Strengthening partnerships with businesses, the police, and other community organizations within the Coventry BID area. This collaboration ensures that a comprehensive approach is taken to addressing crime and security.

Effective Integrated Partnerships:
Creating a cohesive network of public and private sector agencies to maximize resources and tackle crime and antisocial behavior more efficiently. This approach ensures a unified response to security concerns.

Through these efforts, Coventry BID aims not only to improve safety but also to contribute to the overall prosperity and vibrancy of the area, making it a more attractive place for businesses and visitors alike.

Covkid sees products go global
Image item
Items created by a designer who wanted to put the cool back into Cov are now in homes around the world and could make the perfect Christmas gift for anyone with the city at heart.

Covkid began as a celebration of the city’s 1950s architecture and design, creating quality products as part of Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture.

The eye-catching illustrations adorn everything from mugs to tea towels and were based on the William Morris principle of ‘have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.’

Covkid was commissioned to design a range of products for the new Telegraph Hotel, which opened in 2021.

See you next week!
