Hello lovelies,
I haven't had the words, or I would have written sooner. As soon as I found some words, I would lose them.
I am sorry. I have missed you all.
Here is a quick story about RITUALS,
while I have the words.
Normally, on June 24th, Italians~
* Celebrate the many Giovannis in our lives. It is referred to as your Onomastico, or your Saint day. Everyone in Italy has one. It is a bigger deal than your birthday.
* Celebrate the Saint by making a bitter liquor for digestion called Nocino. This delicious elixir is made from Black Walnuts. I grew up on it. I had some last night from last year's batch.
* My sister sent me a another ritual done for centuries on this day in the more Northern parts of Italy. I was excited to try.
St Giovanni (aka John the Bapist) is known for baptizing Jesus.
In the ritual, women gather 24-100 various flowers, herbs, grasses, leaves and ferns at dusk on the night of the 23rd. They cover the gatherings with water. In the morning everyone washes their hands and faces with the blessed water. I put some over my womb and belly too. I also ran the water through my hair and washed my feet.
The photo above was my water!
It was VERY pretty!
Before the world changed, we turned to the Earth and the sky. Our well ancestors created and shared these rituals through the generations. As a naturopathic doctor, healer, psychic and medium, these traditions of the highest vibration keep me clear and bring me home.
You don't have to be Catholic (I no longer am) to feel the power in this baptism. Jesus and many of the Saints are considered Ascended Masters. I have always held many of these Spirits close, especially during hard times.
It warmed my heart to gather as I walked around our property. It was grounding to connect with the land. Feeling the water on my skin, I felt renewed.
Tomorrow, the moon goes home as she becomes reNEWed, restarting her next cycle.

Getting quiet and connecting to our internal light is more important now than ever during these coming weeks.
Simplify your rituals to a few that feel good.
The ones that bring you home to
YOU!
