Hozan Alan Senauke (1947- December 22nd 2024) was a dear INEB Kalayana mitta, Abbot of the Berkeley Zen Center and a prominent socially-engaged Buddhist activist for many decades. “Hozan cultivated interfaith partnerships and a new generation of leadership, supporting women teachers and helping young and diverse practitioners take up Zen practice."
