Has a troublesome area in your neighborhood been bothering you every time you pass by it? Ready to take action but don't know where to start? Curious about adopting your own site but haven't tried it out yet?
Recruit some friends and test it out for a weekend!
What we'll provide:
- All the supplies you need - gloves, trash bags, buckets, scales, etc.
- Basic training and answers to your questions
- A free t-shirt for site leaders
Our Adopt a Site program gives you ultimate flexibility to choose a place and time that works with your schedule. It helps us expand our reach and keep Hawai'i clean from Mauka to Makai. Try it out for one day the weekend of February 21st-23rd and learn more about how it works.
What you'll do:
- Register as an ambassador with the link below. Tell us about the site you would like to adopt and when you'll be working the weekend of Feb. 21st-23rd. We ask for a 2-hour minimum commitment on any day during that timeframe.
- Stewardship is more fun with friends, so recruit some buddies to join you (not required).
- Attend a Site Leader training and pick up your supplies plus a free t-shirt on Monday, February 17th.
- Log all data in our app and promote your work on social media for a chance to win prizes through a few friendly competitions.
- Return all supplies after the cleanup - or - keep them and officially adopt your site for ongoing cleanups!
We are an organization of action, and our goal is to empower our amazing network of volunteers to take initiative and organize their own cleanups. Working together, we can achieve our vision of a cleaner, safer, stronger Hawai'i populated by a society that respects and maintains the land.
