You have a fresh start with the beginning of a new semester. This is your chance to get organized and excited about your classes. New opportunities are on the horizon, and it's important to establish your priorities.
There's a lot of heaviness in the world, and you may be feeling it in your own life. With events happening beyond our control, you might feel sad, worried, anxious, or overwhelmed. It can be difficult to focus on your studies when a storm of emotions surrounds you.
This week, I chose "be mindful" as the theme for our newsletter. Being mindful simply means being present to what is happening and being aware of yourself, even amidst chaos. Remember to allow yourself to feel your emotions, bring awareness to your actions, and make choices that are best for you.
Being mindful might mean reaching out to a friend, organizing your school supplies and backpack, or putting your phone down to give yourself space without being distracted by outside stimuli. Take a moment to slow down and simply let yourself exist.
Your well-being is the foundation from which everything else grows.
No matter where you find yourself, remember that you're not alone. We're all together at the start of this new year, getting ready to create new possibilities. We're here to support each other in being accountable for our goals and intentions this semester. Together, we can prioritize our well-being!
