An update on the wildfires across Los Angeles
We are currently safe and not in evacuation zones. Some of our family, friends, and loved ones have had to evacuate. Some have lost their homes. We are devastated and saddened to bear witness to so much loss.
We know our community is resilient. We take care of each other. We have rounded up some resource guides, donation drives, and Gofundme pages for those feeling called to support and/or share. Please note this is not an exhaustive list, but a starting point for anyone looking to contribute their time and/or money.
Mutual Aid Resource Guides
- Mutual Aid LA Network created this extensive resource list that covers a lot of Los Angeles County.
- Journalists Stephanie Breijo and Danielle Dorsey rounded up 47 L.A. County restaurants offering food and relief to fire evacuees and first responders for the LA Times.
- Inclusive Action is providing cash assistance to impacted outdoor workers. Learn more about program eligibility and apply now for $500 in assistance. Applications are due by 1/17.
