why aren't we talking about this:

Only 1/5 of our US peers
voted for Donald.

A full 79% of us
did not vote for Trump.
They are a fringe. Their 21% is nada.

What this means to me:
If we lefty voters link up with the nonvoters + the youth + not-yet-citizens + visitors + people stripped of voting rights + the “too-busy-to-vote” folks + the “it’s all the same I’m not voting” + the “my vote doesn’t count” folks—we are A FORCE. 🎉

Of course: you might be feeling small/scared because they are scary and in power, but please let’s not let that make us ACT SMALL. Or isolate.

Together we can SPEAK, WRITE, FUND, TEACH, STAND UP for one another, and VOLUNTEER—for science + books + economic opportunity for all + women's humanity + change + an immigrant-rich society + Mother Nature + anti-racism + affordable healthcare + queer/trans humanity + looking out for the underdogs + religious separation from government…

What I know from studying social movements is that to do any of that we need our local “bubbles” where we can breathe…and re-energize.

Community is not a “nice to have”: in (these) authoritarian times, community is survival.

Being in community is scientifically proven to buffer against the anxiety and depression that disproportionately impact marginalized people.

If you’re in the SF Bay Area, I’ve started a monthly in-person support(ive) group for feminist/queer/trans folks. To forge deeper bonds and recharge in a luxe, water-view, intimate, witchy mini-retreat once a month for the next year. (Two spots left. Reply if you want the details.)

Coming together IRL is an antidote to the fear and freeze—it helps us flow + fight back. Below you'll see ways to ground, co-create an inclusive future, and channel energy/resources.

In sum:
I'm here. I'm queer, and
I REMAIN in solidarity with
all the underdogs.  :)

p.s. if you work in a startup or mid-size company or team:
Wild but true: hiring me can be “pay what you can.” Here's how:
  • When clients have $55K, I’m their hands-on advisor, advising various leaders and multiple teams to drive multiple powerful outcomes in all of the main problem areas.
  • When an org has $800, we do a high-impact, one-hour strategy session—and you leave better understanding how to fix your challenges and move forward in this new era.
Every budget, every story, I make it happen. How it works: If you’re called to navigate this era with expert support, message me. We will talk frankly about your budget, and I’ll share candidly exactly what I can deliver for that amount. BOOM. Win-win.

p.s.s Are you an entrepreneur, coach, consultant?
Even though the U.S. feels like a scary shitstorm now, I know you still need to sell out your programs, land good clients, and/or re-imagine your business. This year, I’ve got you with:

These numbers bring me a sense of calm. Bottom line: the other side is loud, but when we stand united, we are undeniably bigger. On protecting trans people. In terms of not supporting Trump.

We do NOT need to feel small or that our views are the minority one.
We can keep each other safe.

This chart includes everyone living in the U.S., including those too young or unable to vote.  Think about this: 21% are Democratic voters, and 59% are nonvoters—together, that’s 79% of the U.S. who didn’t vote for Trump. Maybe all of us can be engaged in other ways: marching, advocating in schools and workplaces, writing letters, speaking to politicians, donating, supporting mutual aid, and standing up for causes to protect people.

These challenges are fixable—and I can help.

With a graduate degree in gender/cultural studies and years of experience as a change management consultant and executive coach, I’ve supported fast-growing technology companies like 23andMe and Splunk, healthcare giants like UnitedHealthcare, video game moguls like EA, and global law firms like Dentons.
