What can you expect from the sessions?
The sessions are going to be a mix of Mat Pilates and bodyweight/external weight involving exercises. Mat pilates, at the heart of it utilises slow, controlled movements with emphasis on breathing and building a rock solid core.
You will be working on building a mind body connection along with overall strength, mobility, flexibility, stability and balance. It is a full body workout and every day of the week we target a different muscle group for you to get the benefit of all the days you will be present.
Manasa loves to add a little bit of strength based work in her sessions hence, the sessions will utilise resistance bands, pilates ball and 2 kg dumbbells. If you are not in a position to invest in these equipments, no biggie; options and modifications are always provided to help the participants move in the way that is possible and comfortable for them!
*Please let the instructor know of any health issues, injuries or any other troubles prior to the sessions
These are women only small group classes of maximum 12-15 people on a crowded day. If you are interested in 1:1 sessions, please inquire directly with Manasa on the availability.
About Manasa and her interest in coaching -
After being diagnosed with PCOS during the pandemic, Manasa was hell bent on reversing her symptoms. She made it her mission to change her lifestyle and to support her hormones by nourishing her body instead of working against it. From then on, her interest and passion in the health and wellness field had begun. She found Pilates to be the most friendliest workout that helped her actually feel good in her body as opposed to having body image issues (as PCOS does to women) She found solace in Pilates and that drove her interest in pursuing a certification to become a Pilates instructor because she wanted to spread the word about how much of an antidote Pilates can be. Her own experiences pushed her to pursue further education in women's health related topics. She has invested and learnt about topics such as becoming a women's coach specialist (how coaching women differs due to various reasons such as having a cycle, varying levels of hormones during each phase of the cycle, natural bodily differences to name a few) nervous system regulation, dived deep into menstrual cycle and so much more. Her interest keeps growing and she is committed to be a lifelong learner.
When she is not running her business or exercising, she can be found dancing, playing sports or with a cozy book and a hot matcha to accompany her ideas!
