It's important to know when you need a compensation agreement and who needs to sign. Different scenarios require different options. 
 
If the listing agent states there is no commission being offered, THEN you can request it on the contract as the example above. It should be ONE OR THE OTHER. 
 
You do not need to do both unless there is a shortage of commission. In other words, if you have a compensation agreement for 2.5% with the listing agent but your buyer agency states 3% then we have a .5% shortage. You can request that .5% on the contract.
