TRAVEL RESOLUTIONS TO LIVE BY
Image item
Hey First name / friend!

Can you believe how quickly January is flying by? I hope you don’t mind me asking, but…

👀 How are your resolutions going? Did you set any?

I bought  Jesse Itzler's Big A** calendar (this thing is HUGE) to make sure I plan 2025 around what will make me happy ACTUALLY HAPPEN in 2025.   It is easy to think you will get around to what you want to accomplish, but before you know it, those resolutions just slip slide away and it is New Years Eve again.

I saw Jesse speak at an ICSC event.  His message is focused on how much time we actually have left to spend on the things that are the important things … and it is not work!  We don't have that much time actually. If you don't know who Jesse Itzler is, check out the link.

So to keep my eye on the Happiness Ball I now have this massive wall calendar that I can not avoid!

This week, I’m sharing 5 travel resolutions that are easy to keep, so you can wave goodbye to ( some) of the guilt.
"I Will Not Wait Until the Last Minute to Book My Getaway"

Procrastinators, take note! Booking early means better prices, more options, and the joy of anticipation. If you’re already behind, I’ve got plenty of last-minute escapes up my sleeve!

This use to be me in a BIG way before travel surged post Covid and everything was booked!
01
"I’ll Remember to Take My Laptop Out of the Bag (Unless I Have TSA PreCheck)"

Shoes off, liquids out, laptops in the bin. Or, skip the headache entirely with TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, and breeze through security like the seasoned traveler you are!

Traveling with kids…check those little bodies and backpacks OVER. Connor (when he was in his Policeman Phase) had a metal flashlight in his pants once.  Thank God it was not the toy gun he toted around every day.
02
"I’ll Purchase Travel Insurance For My Vacation"

It’s not glamorous, but it’s essential. Travel insurance protects you—and your peace of mind—so you can handle any bumps in the road with ease.

An acquaintance just this week had a terrible experience with Kidney stones on a short cruise…and no travel insurance.  Ship sailed off without her, hospital in a foreign country, and then she had to buy flights to get home.  Not pretty and $$$$

"I Will Actually Use My Vacation Days This Year"

Those PTO days are yours to use! Stop letting them pile up. Plan in advance and sync your vacation with long weekends or holidays to make the most of every precious day off. After all, life is too short to wait for the 'perfect' time to travel.

Let me know if you want a copy of my PTO hacks for 2025.
04
Wait! 🚨 Shameless Plug Alert!!

There's one more resolution to add to the list:

"I’ll Let a Professional Handle My Travel Logistics"

Keeping track of every little detail can be overwhelming. This year, let a travel expert (me!) take care of the heavy lifting—so  maybe it will actually happen.
CHeers to 2025!
