Hello First name / friend, I missed last week’s Weekend Update because I was in Florida for my BFF Jamie’s son’s wedding. It was an absolutely magical weekend from start to finish! If you know Jamie from FlirtyFinds, you won’t be surprised to hear that she’s also an amazing party planner. She and the mother of the bride outdid themselves, making every detail of the wedding weekend truly spectacular. Jamie looked radiant and so happy throughout the weekend's celebrations. Here are a few highlights: |

Now it’s back to reality, and I’m focused on editing and organizing my closet and wardrobe. Before we left for Florida, Bill and I tackled the basement, and it was such a relief to get that done. Even though we’ve only been in this house for two years, it had already become cluttered and disorganized down there. In a smaller home, it’s easy for the unfinished basement to turn into a dumping ground for things without a “home”. I’m trying to be more intentional about what we bring in and more ruthless about what we let go. Having less space actually makes this easier, and if you’re considering downsizing, I highly recommend it! Speaking of decluttering and closet editing… Scroll down to read about my January NO-SHOP Closet Detox — I’d love for you to join me! I managed to do all the Closet Edit steps on my small closet and dresser yesterday. It feels so good to have it done…Now I just need to do my “spillover” rack down in the basement. That is filled with pieces I wear occasionally or just can't part with yet. I know there is a lot down there that needs to be addressed, and this is the perfect time of year to do it. I encourage you to get your closet purged and edited now too. These cold days of January and February is the perfect time to STOP the shopping and get things in order. You'll be shocked at some of the gems you may find too. I found two sweater-type dresses that I honestly forgot I had🤪. Cheers, Beth |
