Your psychic gifts are like a seed planted in fertile soil. They need patience, trust, and care to grow into the blossoming insights that guide your path.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class. I was the nurse running the infirmary for evening students at Queens College in New York. Students bustled about during the five-minute break, hurrying to their next class. Amid the crowd, a young man was smoking—a clear violation of school rules.
I approached him and firmly said, "Put out the cigarette.”
"What cigarette? Everything is an illusion," he retorted.
Without missing a beat, I reached out, pulled the cigarette from his mouth, crushed it underfoot, picked it up, and put it in my pocket.
"Why did you take my cigarette?" he yelled.
"What cigarette?" I shot back as I walked away.
That moment, though not psychic, was a turning point. When I wore my nurse's uniform, I felt an inner power, a quiet authority I rarely accessed otherwise. It planted a seed of understanding that would help me distinguish between intuition and imagination. Over time, I realized that sudden flashes of knowing, unexpected images or mysterious scents were whispers from a deeper flow—the universe itself.
The challenge was learning to feel that same trust in my intuition when I wasn't in uniform. I vividly recall the morning I awoke with a clear image of a man's face and a voice telling me the exact day, time, weight, and sex of my sister's second child. I didn't fully understand it then, nor did I label it a psychic experience. But when every detail came true, it was undeniable proof of something extraordinary.
For years, I wrestled with trusting these moments of psychic insight. As a nurse, others believed in my intuition more readily than I did. My sister openly trusted my 'knowing,' while my parents dismissed it, which deepened my confusion. I understand the struggle, the doubt, and the need for validation.
What about you? What helps you trust your intuition? Share your experiences and let's learn from each other. We're all on this journey together. Recognizing your intuition is like tuning a radio to a clear station—when you align with the right frequency, the static disappears, and the message comes through loud and clear.
Remember, tuning into your psychic gifts is like finding your way in the dark with a flashlight. Each small step illuminates more of the path ahead. With practice, that light becomes brighter, revealing the extraordinary guidance within you.
From Soul Detective, I’m sharing one of the forty-two exercises particularly helpful in recognizing and trusting my psychic gifts. Whether it's intuition, clairvoyance, or any other 'Clair,' these experiences are not delusions—they are the universe flowing through you, offering insights for your journey. I encourage you to explore these exercises to deepen your understanding of your own psychic abilities.

EXERCISE 1: SOUL ESSENCE REFLECTIONS
Consider when you discovered you had an intuition about someone or a situation and it came true. Did you write about it in a journal? Or could you tell someone you trust? Achieving clarity rather than hoarding fear is like clearing a foggy window to reveal the landscape beyond. Knowing that your intuition is best used in an alert and peaceful state of mind, try this exercise:
Choose someone you are afraid of or uncomfortable with. Close your eyes and take three slow, deep breaths, imagining you are standing opposite that person.
Use your imagination and see a wise soul standing with you who will help you. During the conversation, only respond after you ask yourself, “What do I truly feel?”
If the answer is “afraid,” take a slow, deep breath. Ask the wise soul, “What do I do?” Wait for an answer.
When fear is put aside, it is easier to navigate the complexities of your emotions and relationships, much like how a clear window allows you to appreciate the beauty or dangers of the outside world without distortion.
Trusting your intuition is not about proving it to others; it’s about embracing the quiet truth that the universe is always guiding you toward your highest good.
