Phew First name / friend, what a busy last few weeks!! 

 

Our most exciting news is that our precious grandson was born, he's absolutely perfect!! Baby boy and mama Ashley are doing well and healthy. Since he was just born, we are going to save pictures for when they have a few more days to get settled and share the news themselves. But we are over the moon he is here!! 🩵

 

Scott and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day, celebrating with our annual progressive dinner at home which has become a special tradition for us over the years.

 

I was recently in Atlanta visiting our daughter and grandchildren while our son-in-law was out of town for work in California. I had the best time getting to “do life” with them for the week - I got to join her weekly playdate and meet her sweet friends, join her for MomCo meeting at her church and hear a wonderful speaker on marriage, we had some alone time for breakfast one morning and of course time when the children were resting. 

 

Anna helps me with marketing and sales for my book, and we have so much FUN working together! It's been such a blessing for both of us, and we got so much done!! 

 

We pitched several magazines and publications to see if they would be interested in sharing my book or having me write an article for them. We messaged several influencers to see if they might share my book with their followers, and went into a beautiful shop to see if they might want to carry it, and waiting to hear back on a speaking opportunity in Atlanta next year. Lots of exciting things going on with the book!! 

 

Please be praying for the Lord to continue to open and close doors for where He wants my book to be! Hoping we will have some exciting news to share soon!!

Some moments in life unfold so beautifully, you know they were meant to be. Simple Hospitality found its very first retail home at The Cloister at Sea Island, a place that holds deep meaning for my family. But what makes this story truly special is how it all happened… including a surprise reveal, a dear friend, and an unforgettable milestone.

 

The Cloister was my very first retail customer, placing their first order in August 2023—and they’ve already reordered two times! It’s such a joy to know my book is available in their gorgeous shop.

 

If you’re ever there, be sure to look for my dear friend Leslie (pictured below), who works at The Cloister. She’s been a wonderful friend and advocate for me—one of the very first people I told about my dream of writing a book!
