If there was one thing I heard on repeat from our community last month, it was: “This is a lot."
January was a lot for me too. Between the weather, political unrest, and being sick for three weeks after my return to work, it was my hardest month in a long time. The heaviness illuminated two truths in my life.
The first is that it is a lot right now. It makes complete sense that I am feeling overwhelmed. The second is that stress is an inevitable part of life, and it's up to me to choose how I navigate each day. It's quite literally the only option.
