If we were asked to sum up the doctrine and covenants in two words, it would be these:  ASK GOD.
Maybe you would like a banner like this to hang in your home all year.  If so, you can find it here!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE TIPINS?

We are so excited about the new tip-ins for this year.  Here is what we envisioned when we were creating these… an experience where you can gather with any age group (adults, teens, kids)  to have a meaningful discussion once a week.  All of the tip-ins for every age group work together to create a lesson experience for every age.  Instead of having a separate journal, our hope is that your scriptures will become your journal this year!  You can write your notes in the wide margin scriptures, and place this tip-in inside the pages.  Created so the whole family could study together, and so that you would end the year with a book of scripture filled with the lessons we all study together.

We will walk you through how to use the tip-ins each week during our lesson.  Then you can find a time that works best for your family to study together and do your scripture journaling.

These tip-ins are a combination of facts and context to help you understand each section better, along with questions in worksheet form to allow you to find application from each section in your own life.  It’s the best of both worlds written in a format to fit right inside your scriptures so you will never forget the learning from this Doctrine and Covenants year.

TIP-INS for Kids
Talk about the privilege of prayer.  What does a prayer look like?  What can a prayer include? Write some of your ideas in the white space provided on the tip-in.  Then glue the tip-in into your scriptures so you will remember what you learned.

TIP-INS for teens
Use your tip-in to ponder about the times God has spoken to you. How does this year’s youth theme in D&C 6:36 help you think about prayer differently?  What do you learn from Oliver’s experience that will help you LOOK UNTO CHRIST this year?

TIP-INS for individuals and couples
Spend some time in section six this week.  What do you learn about the privilege of prayer from Oliver’s experience?  The tip-in includes eight verses to ponder.  What do each of those verses teach you about prayer?

We love studying with you!
