Below are this month's shares--things that I think you might find interesting, enjoyable, or helpful. I hope there's something that you connect with!

JANUARY SHARES

  • ReBUILD LA. Habitat for Humanity LA is launching a long-term emergency response campaign to assist those affected to rebuild their homes, relocate to other housing, provide essential supplies, and restore their lives. Learn more and support the campaign here (my friend Meredith's husband is personally involved with this, thank you for sharing!)
  • Did you join the latest snail mail swap? If so, I'd love to hear / see what some of your favorite pieces of mail and words were and compile it in a blog post. If you have something to share, please send me an email! (I know mail is still arriving so I'll be waiting until February to make the post.)
  • I'm a guest on #the100dayproject Podcast! It was so fun getting to chat with Lindsay who has been hosting one of my favorite challenges! Listen to the trailer here and the first episode with Elle Luna is out! (I think mine will be the 4th ep :))
  • Save the date: Feb 23rd is when this year's 100 Day Project will start! I'm planning on sharing something you can use for your project--stay tuned!
  • “Every Sunday, I block off 1-2 hours simply to celebrate what I've accomplished in the past 7 days. Most people only celebrate what they do in their work life. But, no--celebrate what you did in your family life, relationships, spiritual growth, friendships, and giving back. Celebrate that you FaceTimed your grandma. You took a walk and saw the sunset--give yourself credit for that 10 minute walk. You'll be blown away when you look at this list after 7 days and think, 'I'm so successful in so many areas. Is there room to grow? Yes. But we have to celerate our success to have room to grow. If we're ust beating ourselves up, it's hard to build on that." -Mike Posner on the Happier with Gretchen Rubin Podcast
  • XO, Kitty. I somehow binged season 1 and season 2 in a weekend lol. There are some silly antics but a few storylines that I was really into! Fun easy watch.
  • Move it! I've been really loving Joanna Soh's workout videos on YouTube! I'm focusing mostly on strength training but have been doing her walking workouts as well. These are my favorites (I don't know how she's talking and smiling throughout the entire workouts lol):
  • Write it down…on a big dry erase wall calendar! It's my new favorite thing! I like seeing everything all at once and this really works for me as someone who doesn't like digital calendars. (Link is Amazon affiliate but I only recommend products I use and love!)
  • Just breathe. 5 minute calming breathwork from Adrienne and her dog Benji
  • What's next. February's Creative Spark Challenge prompts and ideas will be shared on Feb 8th! And if you created something for January, I'd love to hear/see more about it!
Have a good start to your week! Take good care and talk to you soon,

PS: Recent snapshots from Vancouver! Got to go on a short trip and visit Level V Bakery which I didn't get to go to last time. Everything is vegan and so good! They also share their space with a matcha place--highly recommend checking out if you're in the area. View from the AirBnB, I love that someone painted the heart shaped spot on the tree, and Valentine at Stanley Park :)

And a few photos from Seattle! I recently babysat two of my favorite kiddos, Brooklyn & Eli--we made dalgonas, played with clay, and decorated a cake, it was a lot of fun! I loved this Threads of Connection interactive installation at Hello Em Viet Coffee & Roastery, Mt. Rainier from the road ! (I can't wait to see it in person!), and the beautiful sunset reflecting on the waters of Newcastle Beach Park.
