Inspired by the grand chandeliers of 1950s Miami Beach hotels, the Artichoke Chandelier is a monumental piece measuring 2.2 meters in both height and width. It comprises 200 individual pieces of handblown bronze glass paired with bronzed leaves, creating a warm, ambient glow. Despite its size, this chandelier personalizes and enhances the scale of any space, serving as a testament to collaborative design and craftsmanship.

 

 

The Raku Yaki Bar Cabinet showcases the ancient Japanese ceramic technique of Raku, where thermal shock creates unique crackled patterns in the glaze. Each tile adorning the cabinet is handcrafted, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece that exudes subtle refinement. The combination of these artisanal tiles with mirror-polished brass elements adds a touch of luxury, making it a standout addition to any interior.

 

The Twist Dining Table is a sculptural exploration of the spiral patterns found throughout the universe. Its tri-oval top twists away from the base, creating a dynamic form that suggests movement and evolution. Crafted from materials such as polyurethane foam, glass fiber, stainless steel, and liquid metal, this table serves as both a functional surface and a conversation piece, reflecting the harmony between design and the natural world.

 

The Tuileries Table features an exclusive and precious base composed of shaped plates and vertical elements of varying sizes, all meticulously crafted using CNC technology and hand-finished. The interplay of these components creates a visually striking foundation, supporting a glass top that adds a sense of lightness. This design exemplifies the fusion of advanced manufacturing techniques with artisanal craftsmanship, resulting in a table that is both modern and timeless.

 

The Comada Bar Cabinet is a testament to contemporary African design, featuring a mirror-polished copper exterior and interior. One door showcases sand-cast brass, while the other mirrors the copper finish, creating a harmonious yet contrasting facade. Inside, walnut shelves and LED lighting add functionality and ambiance. This piece reflects Adam Court's eclectic influences and commitment to sophisticated form and materiality.

 

The Bonbon Pouf is an accent piece characterized by a central pull in the upholstered seat, from which natural pleats radiate. Its folded metal tubular frame adds a contemporary touch, while the option of a pressure-adjustable backrest enhances comfort. This design invites interaction, encouraging users to touch and manipulate the piece to fully experience its tactile qualities.

 

 

"Bathing and Beauty" is a large-scale abstract painting that conveys a sense of transcendence through its graphic pool motif and layers of rich color on a sheen velvet surface. Framed by a custom cast woven belt, the piece brings dimensionality into any interior, with its dynamic composition creating the illusion of depth and movement as the viewer's perspective shifts. This collaboration between Kelly Wearstler and Lior Modan exemplifies the fusion of art and design, adding a sophisticated touch to any space.

Each of these hero pieces embodies a unique narrative and material composition, offering not just functionality but also a profound impact on the aesthetics and atmosphere of an interior.

This month we wanted to introduce you to two of our latest powder rooms creations.

 

The New York powder room (above) is a striking fusion of rich textures and statement materials. The deep blue, fabric-textured walls set the tone for an intimate and moody ambiance, creating a dramatic backdrop for the bold marble vanity with its striking veining. Warm brass fixtures introduce an element of sophistication, adding depth and elegance to the space. A vintage movie poster infuses personality, while a crystal chandelier enhances the nostalgic yet luxurious atmosphere. The result is a powder room that feels transportive, refined, and full of character.

 

The Corfu project is designed to offer a moody, immersive experience that celebrates natural materials and thoughtful contrasts. A dark marble vanity with dramatic veining serves as the focal point, adding richness and depth. Vertical wooden slats introduce warmth and texture, effortlessly blending the bathroom with the adjacent sauna. Subtle lighting accentuates architectural details, emphasizing the interplay between light and shadow. The result is a sophisticated yet grounding retreat, where every element contributes to a serene and harmonious atmosphere.

For this project, our goal was to completely reimagine the entrance space by introducing an element that not only fulfilled a practical function but also contributed significantly to the overall design narrative. 

To achieve this, we designed a bespoke double-sided sofa that seamlessly blends form and function. Its elegantly curved lines and luxuriously soft fabric were carefully chosen to evoke a sense of fluidity and warmth, ensuring that the home feels inviting from the very first step inside. The sofa’s distinctive design allows it to be admired from multiple vantage points, making it a striking focal point within the entryway—an area where first impressions are both immediate and lasting. By prioritizing both aesthetics and functionality, this piece enhances the spatial experience, setting the tone for the rest of the home.

 

We reimagined the typically underutilized space surrounding the columns and transformed it into a purposeful and aesthetically pleasing design element. By thoughtfully incorporating custom-built shelves and a seamlessly integrated floating desk, we optimized both form and function. Our meticulous design approach resulted in a sleek, modern solution that not only enhances the spatial flow but also maximizes efficiency. This innovative transformation breathes new life into the columns, turning them into a distinctive architectural highlight. 

The result is a perfect fusion of style and practicality, adding depth, character, and increased usability to the overall space.

 

 

We created a pair of accent chairs upholstered in a delicate checkered fabric featuring a soft blend of white and beige, adding a subtle yet inviting texture to the space. This carefully chosen material introduces warmth while maintaining a neutral elegance that seamlessly integrates with the room’s aesthetic. The design of the chairs strikes a thoughtful balance between form and function—offering the cozy embrace of an armchair while maintaining a compact silhouette akin to a pouf. This makes them versatile and space-efficient without compromising on comfort. Their refined presence enhances the overall ambiance, providing an elegant touch that harmonizes effortlessly with the existing decor, ensuring a sophisticated yet unobtrusive addition to the room.

This month’s architectural highlight takes us to Colombia, where we explore The Moon House by the architectural firm Green Mecano.

The property is a striking residence located in the high mountains of Tablacito, Rionegro, Colombia, approximately an hour from Medellín. 

Completed in 2023, this 230-square-meter home is thoughtfully integrated into its sloping topography, offering panoramic views of the San Nicolás valley.

 

Commissioned by a musician, the Moon House was envisioned as a spacious, open, and interconnected living space. The design addresses both the functional program and the challenging terrain through a series of modules connected by overlapping terraces. This modular approach not only maximizes the use of available space but also enhances the fluidity between indoor and outdoor areas.

 

To realize this vision, Green Mecano employed a "Mecano" structure—a braced metal framework that optimizes steel usage and accelerates the construction process. This prefabricated system allows for components to arrive ready for assembly on-site, akin to constructing a set of Legos. Such a method is particularly advantageous for building on challenging terrains, as it minimizes site disturbance and construction time.

The result is a residence that respects the existing topography and harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings. The house appears to float above the landscape, serving as a viewpoint that capitalizes on its elevated position to offer expansive vistas. This design not only provides aesthetic appeal but also enriches the living experience by fostering a strong connection between the inhabitants and the surrounding environment.
