From as early as I can remember, every blank surface became a canvas for my imagination. Clothes, spaces, jewelry, songs, poems - my endless scribbles spilled from napkins to notebooks, even onto bedroom walls.
I KNEW what I wanted to be since forever, and what I wanted was to create. The family I grew up in provided a solid foundation for this ongoing exploration - and they´re a continual source of inspiration.

The story begins with my great-grandmother, who, in early 1900s Mexico, lost everything she and her family owned. Despite her hardships, she saved year after year to gift her four granddaughters heirlooms for their birthdays—symbols of her love and resilience.

My grandmother carried this spirit forward. She painted life-like orchids with such dedication that her craft only deepened with time. She was still painting the day she passed away, her face serene as she contemplated her final canvas—a testament to the enduring power of creativity.

My aunts live by a mantra of DIY, community, and togetherness. Every special occasion is an opportunity to gather and create something beautiful.

My mother’s story is one of reinvention. Returning to Mexico after years abroad, with faith and creativity as her tools. She created exquisite spaces, always brilliant on a budget. Growing up, my siblings and I had bedrooms that belonged in a magazine: Safari, Secret Garden, Indian Palace, Amazonian themes. She taught me that creativity thrives in even the most challenging circumstances.

In our family, "things" aren’t just objects—they are imbued with life, meaning, and purpose. This belief has shaped my own design philosophy: troubles seem smaller when you're surrounded by a space that offers serenity and order.
No matter how small or large, whether it’s a broom closet or a immense home, a well-designed space becomes a sanctuary. From that foundation, anything feels possible.

I share all this on a more historic note, on a more professional journey here goes…

This legacy is what led to the creation of Orchid House Hotels. With six boutique hotels across Mexico, OHH was born from the desire to capture the warmth of Homemade Hospitality—the kind my mother’s home always offered—and extend it to people beyond our own borders.

After graduating, I was drawn to interdisciplinary design. My career began with residential and commercial projects in Mexico, where I explored the many facets of design, from handmade textiles to interiors to lighting. Along the way, I worked with and learned from some of the greats—Ralph Lauren, Kelly Wearstler, Aerin Lauder, and more.
Today, with more than a decade of experience and a lifetime of learnings, Welcome Home, wants to delve deeper. I want to explore what inspires design, what sparks creativity, and discover the roots of it all. For me, creating is more than a profession— its a tangible way to hopefully add more beauty to the tapestry of life, in a way that feels respectful and right.
