I outlined my next launch’s emails in 30 mins. You can do it too — lemme show ya:
 
First, nail down the dates for each launch phase and how regularly you’re sending out your emails.
 
Then you can total ‘em up.
  • Waitlist building: 9 emails
  • Waitlist launch: 7 emails
  • Public launch: 14 emails
BOOM. 30 emails.
 
So I need to come up with 30 email ideas.
 
This part’s hella important so listen up:
 
Don’t try to make them strategic.
 
Just dump content ideas until your numbered list hits 30.
 
But before you do that, decide WHERE to pull these ideas. I pasted this checklist at the top of my page, going through one at a time.
 
→ Sales page
→ Launch retros
→ Testimonials / feedback forms
→ Messaging cheatsheet
→ Up Emelie’s ass
 
I opened my Stand Up Copy sales page and told myself I could eeeeeasily get 1 email idea per section.
 
The idea is to get momentum and rattle off conversations points. My list started:
  1. Why sales copy takes so long…
  2. Copy systems vs frameworks & methods…
  3. All the shit you have to do pre-launch…
  4. Easy to talk about your offer IRL vs writing about it…
  5. Getting out of your head = self-trust = you are your best copywriter…
Next, I looked at our launch retros. Onboarding forms. Feedback forms. Cheatsheet. My butt.
 
By the end of it, I had 30 items… in a super random order.
 
(This next part contains AI. Only folks who value their time shall proceed.)
 
I didn’t want to manually migrate topics around to different launch phases, so I asked ChatGPT to do it do me!
 
“I have a list of emails I need to reorganize based on relevance of the timing with my launching schedule. I'm launching Stand Up Copy soon. I have:
  • Waitlist building: 9 emails
  • Waitlist launch: 7 emails
  • Public launch: 14 emails
  • Total: 30 emails
I have a list of 30 — order them in any sorta way per ‘phase’ of the launch and do NOT change my email ideas.”
 
Then, ChatGPT set a “goal” for each phase of the launch and sorted them for me!

Personally, I stopped prepping all my sales emails a while back. I like to plot them in my content calendar and write a handful at a time.
 
But you do whatever floats your dress.
