At Capital Prime we make seasonal adjustments with our menu and we add new delicious offerings every chance we get. We had the pleasure of providing many unique and mouthwatering features throughout the holiday season, now we are excited for the new culinary creations Executive Chef, Scott Finch, and his team will bring in 2025. Are you aware that almost every day we also offer Chef’s Features that are items in addition to our menu for you to enjoy? There are numerous reasons why we offer these select features when our menu is already so comprehensive. First, our chefs are passionate about experimenting with different combinations and flavor profiles. It allows us to flex our "creative muscles" to prepare something different and spectacular that we may not be able to feature every day on our menu. We often find a dish that is so well-received, we add it as a staple on one of our upcoming menus. Second, when running a kitchen, like Capital Prime’s, we are offered opportunities from our purveyors to bring in new items that are not normally offered to the public. When this happens, we can offer our guests an exceptional opportunity to try something new and different. Lastly, our Chef’s Features allow us to offer you seasonal items that may only be available for a limited time. Whatever the reason, you should ALWAYS ask for the daily Chef's Features. You may gain a new favorite! We are always interested and open to your feedback, so please let us know your thoughts. |

It may be cold outside, but Capital Prime is heating up with romance in the air as we prepare to have the most spectacular Valentine’s weekend ever! What is more romantic than enjoying wonderful food paired with the perfect wine while gazing into the eyes of the one you love? Executive Chef, Scott Finch, and his spectacular team will be setting the mood with an exquisite prix fixe menu meant for two, as well as offering our complete menu. To ensure you choose wine to complement the delicious food, I have a few guidelines and recommendations. If ordering a steak, the higher the marbling (fat content), the bolder the wine should be. A full-bodied Cabernet would accent a ribeye perfectly. DAOU’s Soul of a Lion is one of my personal favorites on our menu. If you prefer the tender cut of a filet mignon, you might steer more towards a Pinot Noir such as Benton-Lane to bring out the best flavor of the steak. You can’t go wrong with a New York strip and a sensational Merlot such as the Emmolo out of Napa Valley. Our sea sass, with its lovely flavors of orange and ginger, pairs well with Bodega Garzón Albariño. If you are a salmon lover like me, I recommend trying the Domaine Dessus La Carrières Chablis to enhance the peach bourbon glaze which graciously adorns it. If you opt for a pasta dish from the menu, try the Hervé Villemade Sauvignon Blanc to balance out your palate. Our wine menu is something I am very proud of, and each wine is carefully procured to ensure we have a wine to pair with the flavors of the menu. Autumn Mahler has been part of the Capital Prime family for seven years. You can always count on her excellent service and suggestions to elevate your dining experience if you are lucky enough to have her serve you. Besides serving her guests, Autumn says her favorite part of working at Capital Prime is the amazing relationships she has built with her co-workers, who truly feel like they are family! Autumn excels at staying calm under pressure. When everything seems to be moving at hurricane speed, she is the eye of the storm. With her attention to detail and her knowledge of the menu, guests have shared many wonderful moments they have experienced with her through our comment cards. Not only is Autumn hard at work in the restaurant, but she has recently gone back to school to finish her accounting degree, which will be completed this May. One thing that may surprise everyone about Autumn is her love for Alice Cooper and his concerts. When attending his concerts, she often can be seen dressed like him.
