Apologies for the Vinegar Hacks (below) cutting off in the previous email. Here's what to use.
To repel ants, spiders, and fruit flies: Mix equal parts white vinegar and water (50/50 solution) in a spray bottle and spray around areas where you see these pests, including windowsills, door frames, and potential entry points; the acidic nature of vinegar disrupts their scent trails and deters them from the area. Avoid using 100% vinegar. It can damage plants, and furnishings and irritate the skin when used without being diluted.
To kill weeds: Fill a container with 1 gallon of white vinegar, one tablespoon of dish soap, and one cup of salt. Spray the leaves of the weeds directly with a solution of white vinegar
