Week 3: Ways To Find a Manufacturer
Finding the perfect manufacturer is like navigating an unfamiliar forest. It requires research, patience, and a clear vision of what you're looking for.
Here are my go-to methods for starting the search:
1. Google Searches: Simple yet effective. I start broad with searches like "oven mitt manufacturers India" and refine with specifics like "custom printed pot holders."
2. Alibaba.com: A fantastic resource for connecting with overseas manufacturers. I filter by country (India) and look for reviews and experience in textiles.
3. Word of Mouth: Networking with fellow entrepreneurs has led to some of my best manufacturing connections. Don’t underestimate a good recommendation!
I’ve also started conversations with potential manufacturers, asking questions like:
- What’s your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
- What is the price per piece?
- Do you offer custom packaging?
Each response helps me uncover who might be the perfect fit for this project!
