Hi friends, These mild temperatures are a wonderful reminder that spring is not that far away. So with spring on my mind, I wrote about one of my favorite things to write about - gardens - more particularly my former garden. The link is below if you'd like to come on a virtual garden tour with me. Warning - it's more pictures than words. This is our monthly gardening issue of the Naturally Bella Journal, so you'll find some things below that are inspiring me as I think about the approaching growing season. There is still room in Sunday's needle-felting class. So if you'd like to learn how, Ginny DaValle is a great instructor! This weekend is Winterfest in Lake Geneva, so we have a special Make & Take Bar set up. Stop in and make a bath salt sachet as a treat for yourself or to gift to someone else who needs some pampering. We are continuing our Open Days (Fridays - Sundays) into February. Stop in this weekend and say hello. We'd love to see you again. Have a blessed day! |

FROM THE GREEN HOUSE A Garden I Once Knew She was a haven, she was a friend, she was a source of creativity, and she was work. It’s been two years since I said goodbye to my garden. I’ve put off writing this because I knew it would be emotional, and I was right. Funny how a garden can bring such strong emotions to the surface - even now. I know some of you will understand. |

Chocolate! AND it's dairy-free! I've been looking for a dairy-free chocolate company, and am excited to have Elements Truffles here at Bella. What's so special about Elements Truffles? It tastes unlike other chocolate that you've had. Here's a look at their story: “Elements Truffles was born at the intersection of two things that make us happy - chocolates and meditation. We are an Ayurveda inspired artisan chocolates that taste good and does good - for the body, mind and community. Our purest ingredients have been selected from Fair Trade manufacturers. Moreover, we give back 25% of the profits towards education of under-privileged children.” The drinking chocolate for hot cocoa and other fun chocolate drinks is in our online store. When I saw her ‘Nurturing Garden’ featured at last year's Chelsea Flower Show, I couldn't get enough of it. I love the style, colors, and how she incorporates irises. |

Ballerina Zinnias are on my ‘Must-Have’ list. |
|
My favorite bulb/perennial combination is this one from Austin Eischeid. It includes Muscari ‘Ocean Magic’, and Epimedium ‘Amber Queen’. Definitely want to create this somewhere in the garden! |
