Snow in South Mississippi
 
Can you believe the amount of snow that dumped on the gulf coast?  It was a record breaking year.  Some areas in South Mississippi got upwards of 10 inches. It was many of the residents first time to ever experience snow!

Here are some of the reported snow depths and times they were recorded
  • Hattiesburg: 1.3 inches at 2 p.m.
  • Purvis: 2 inches, at 12 p.m.
  • Jayess: 2.5 inches at 2 p.m.
  • Leakesville: 4 inches at 5:30 p.m.
  • Wiggins: 3.5 inches, at 12 p.m.
  • Evanston: 5.5 inches at 6 p.m.

Callie - Sparks of Joy Co
Callie is the face behind @sparksofjoyco and @theloseitblog on TikTok.  She has grown both pages to well over 100k followers sharing about her business ventures on social media, her weight loss journey, and her fight to save our beloved platform, TikTok.

What’s the best way to get involved in local markets as a new vendor?
A: Start by visiting markets in your area to meet organizers and other vendors. You can also look for Facebook groups in your area that focus on markets and being a vendor.  There is one Mississippi Gulf Coast Vendor Connections.

A: Collaborate with local events, like farmers markets or craft fairs, to showcase your products. Also, don’t underestimate the power of word-of-mouth and a strong social media presence!

A: The trails at DeSoto National Forest are a favorite! They offer beautiful views and options for beginners and experienced hikers alike.
