Winter is the perfect time to pause on shopping, clean out your closet, and get creative with what you already own—while still keeping up with the #justgetdressed habit!
This week on Tipsy Tuesday, I shared 3 easy outfit creation tricks that will help you feel more pulled together without buying anything new.
1️⃣ Tone-on-Tone on Top
Wearing the same color (or similar tones) for your top and layering piece instantly creates a modern, streamlined look. Try a matching cardigan and top or a blazer in the same shade for effortless chic. Pro tip: Add texture (like knit + silk) and accessories to keep it interesting!
2️⃣ The Three-Color Rule
For a well-balanced look, stick to three colors in your outfit. And for even more polish? Tie in your shoe color with something on top—your bag, jewelry, a belt, or even a scarf. Example: I wore a royal blue top with a royal blue cardigan, white jeans, and added black boots, a black belt, and a black bag to tie it all together.
3️⃣ Balance Your Silhouette
Proportion makes all the difference!
• If you’re wearing wide-leg pants, pair them with a more fitted or cropped top.
• If you’re in slim pants, go for a looser, oversized sweater or blazer to balance things out.
These little tweaks make a BIG difference in how put-together your outfit looks.
