We had an absolute blast paddling oceans and estuaries, we SUP'd to the pub, had some wonderful sunset paddles and got to places you can't go by land. We also made some new friends along the way!

 

Last years members were so much fun and we want to share those positive vibes with more people this year! In fact all the photos in this newsletter are from last years members.

 

Each session is 2 - 2.5hrs including changing. Locations will be announced at the start of the week via the Private WhatsApp group and Harlyn SUP Club Facebook page if there are non member spots available.

 

We confirm locations nearer the time through the members only WhatsApp group direct if you are a non member.

 

Social Paddles will mostly be on Friday nights to ensure we have the best tides. As always we are governed by mother nature so this maybe subject to change.

 

The first SUP Club meeting will be middle of May, and sessions will run until the end of September. We may run a few sessions in October if the weather allows.

 

SUP Club Membership

There is an annual membership fee with exclusive benefits as well as a weekly session sub to attend. Members will always have priority booking but if you don't wish to become a member you can Pay As You Paddle.

 

Finally we want to be as inclusive as possible but we will need our members to have a level of experience to join us in such a large group. If you are new to this or you have never been on a paddleboard we will be running a novice session prior to the first meet up which will cover the basics of stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and some self rescue skills.

Safety is important at events like these, so we will have some simple rules for you to follow as well as ensuring you have the right equipment. 

 

The group is for those over 18 years old

 

Please bring your own kit wherever possible, however we will have a limited amount available to use on the night but this must be booked in advance.

 

We will check your kit at your first session to ensure it meets current safety standards.

We introduced a small annual membership fee in 2024 which not only helps towards the costs of running this but will also get you exclusive discounts on equipment, regular hire and discounts from some selected local businesses. You will receive a SUP Club members card to prove your membership. 

 

Your membership fee goes towards our time, insurance, safety equipment, kit maintenance, education, admin and support to run these events as well as your access to all the exclusive offers you receive as part of your membership. 

 

Attending the sessions as a member with all your own kit is the cheapest way to join us.
