10 tips To Prepare for your engagement session
01
RELAX AND HAVE FUN.
I know it may be intimidating to be in front of the camera but this is supposed to be fun!  I'm sure you have put a lot of thought into the day so just relax and have fun. I am very easy going and enjoy helping my couples to relax!
Set up your photo session at time of day that is nothing short of amazing.
02
The most superlative photos will come from shooting in the softest light.  So you definitely want to set up the session during golden hour or if you prefer in the beautiful early morning light.
Match your style in wardrobe.
03
Both of you should pick something you feel comfortable wearing but your styles should be similar. This shoot had a vintage flair to it.  Choose something that suits you as a couple.  Perhaps 70's,  cowboy country, casual beach attire, or go all out, totally dressed to the hilt you get the point!
Pick a place that is beautiful!
04
Location, Location!  I think outdoor shoots are amazing with natural light.  Beautiful fields, coastal bluffs, rolling hills, majestic mountains, redwood forests, all of these are wonderful locations. (Of course a coffee shop where you met is always a cute location too)
Do an activity during your shoot you love!
05
You can really catch your personalities in an engagement shoot by doing something you love.   Here are a few examples, riding your Harley's, walking your dogs, walking on the beach, horseback riding in a stream, fishing on a dock what ever floats your boat.
Bring along your favorite pet.
06
Pets touch our souls.  They are part of our families.  Bring along Buster or Maxwell to add a sweet element to your engagement photos.
Bring your horse to your  shoot.
07
Horses bring a strong wonderful element to any photo shoot.  Are you an equestrian owner let's set up the shoot so that you can bring him!  I am a horse owner myself so I feel very comfortable around them.
Be Romantic.
07
Don't worry about the camera pointed at you.  I have been doing this a long time.  If you share your love with me I can capture moments to last a lifetime!
Pick a special place near and dear to your hearts.
08
Was your first date at the beach at sunset?  Did you meet in a coffee shop? Think about that moment when you first met and may be its a perfect place for our session.
