Amidst an ever-dividing world, I’m committed to deepening my understanding and fluency of the universal languages embedded in nature.
Human language fractures and fuses,
beyond, nature speaks in universal tongues—
the curve of a brow, the sigh of wind,
the dance of hands through air —
ancient dialects without need of translation
There are many doorways…
Symbol— archetypes, sacred geometry, patterns in nature (planets, Fibonacci spirals, lacy fractals on a leaf). Sound – vibration, resonance, rhythm (bird songs, drumming, poetic meter, mantra). Body – gesture, movement, somatic expression (dance, breath, laughter, postures). Light and color – the way light shifts through space and time. The elements – the cyclical wisdom of earth, water, fire, air, and their interplay (land listening, food). Energy and frequency – the subtle felt sense of presence, connection, and attunement.
I brought this curiosity into Experience House, a residency for the world’s leading experience designers, artists, culture creators, and community builders. Over the course of 10 days, over 40 extraordinary individuals from around the world came together in Guatemala to explore what it means to co-create and fully participate in the experience of this precious life; a space to discover the way our relationship with ourselves, each other, and the natural world determines just how dynamic, magical, beautiful, graceful, and expansive that experience can be.
Despite differences in country of origin, cultural background, age, gender, sexual orientation, profession, and religious affiliations, deep connections emerged. Yes, through speaking to one another. But even more profoundly, through moments of eye contact, touch, vocal activation, somatic movement rituals, collective song writing, dancing, storytelling, watching films together, death meditations, improvisational play, group breathwork, grieving together, cooking together, exploring archetypal expressions in one another, silent walks in nature…coming back to eye contact.
I arrived to Experience House with several ideas and concepts that I was eager to evolve. The more I oriented to producing an experience and making something happen, the more chaotic and stressed I became. It was in the moments that I let go and leaned into connection — taking a break to go on a walk in nature; sharing vulnerabilities arising with someone; sitting down and just musing with others about their craft — that creative pathways began to take shape. As I followed these moments ofrelating, I found organic resonance with artists who have cultivated different communication pathways within these universal languages — sound, light, body, symbol, elements, energy.
The engineer sees a perfect circle,
the poet sees the moon,
the mystic sees a portal,
the lover sees completion.
These lenses guide us to sense into essence — attuning our awareness to the deepest nature of something—whether it’s a person, an idea, an experience. Beneath surface appearances and intellectual analysis we can feel and perceive the core energy or truth of what is present. Beyond roles, masks, and conditioned identities, we can meet in a space of deep authenticity and recognition. This level of connection comes with an alive presence, ease, and magnetism. It feels electric and deeply nourishing because it’s a space where true intimacy, creative synergy, activation, transformation, and new potentials emerge.
In different pairings and groups, we began circling around archetypal themes: light and dark; birth and death; transformation; mystery; eros; wildness. There were moments of tenderness, instability, and awkwardness along the way. The practice was to keep offering that into the creative fire; to alchemize it into the next creative act.
In being so, we co-created a culture — a tapestry woven together by individual and universal languages — anchored in shared desire to authentically connect and artfully explore new possibilities.
The forms and expressions that took shape were far more beautiful than any concept I arrived with.

Robert Koch and I created an immersive, deep-listening experience that revealed the transformative power of sound and artful ritual. Through his meticulously crafted compositions infused with brain-entrainment signals and my spoken word poetry, we explored the profound interplay between sound and body, mind and heart, stillness and movement, self and other, and their universal connection. What unfolded was mysterious, moving and beautiful. The journey we went on to co-create this space – one where we had to let go of technical perfection to try something new – was equally as profound. Robert's capacity to welcome moments of uncertainty with compassion and dissolve them into questions that expand the possibility space is remarkable.
Ryan Uzilevsky and I explored projection mapping onto the human form. We overcame a series of technical roadblocks through a sustained, shared curiosity to imagine new stories and healing experiences that become possible when the body, light, and color are brought together. As I came face-to-face with the vulnerability of striped-down visibility within a female body, I was immediately met by the beauty, safety, and care that Ryan effortlessly generates through himself and his craft (wizardry, really). A transformative experience, very much unplanned.
Beauty is healing;
Healing is beautiful.
In a world that prizes output—products, ideas, concepts—it’s so easy to fixate on producing rather than relating. But I’ve learned that true creative power doesn’t come from forcefully shaping a concept into existence. It emerges from the depth of connection we cultivate—with ourselves, with others, with the unseen field of possibilities. And when we connect at the level of essence, something far more potent than a single idea is born: a relational field where creativity flows organically; where something larger than us can take form through us. This is the difference between making and midwifing—between pushing an idea into existence and allowing what wants to emerge to be received.
So, rather than focusing on what we’re producing, the invitation is to tend to how we are relating. Who we are being in the creative process matters more than what we are doing. When we forge relationships at this level of presence and truth, the work takes care of itself. Ideas that are alive and resonant arise naturally. This is the shift from concept-driven creation to relationship-driven emergence. And it is from this space that the most powerful, unexpected, and necessary creations pour forth.

I’m spending several more weeks in Guatemala learning about Mayan cosmology and ritual. Within this tradition, like many around the world, each of us has a unique essence woven of universal energies. Among all the profound things my teacher has said to me, we keep coming back to, “Just be yourself.” This life grants us a beautiful opportunity: to discover our essence, express it fully, and in doing so, realize how much we share we the whole of life.
eyes of the earth
between cave and cloud
fire, fruit
fragrance, melody
when you feel lost inside
press down, look out
trace her etchings —
songlines —
until you see her gazing back
upon your forgotten faces
singing,
me too, me too
I believe this moment in humanity is asking us to transcend our mental language systems in order to find a deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us. And I believe art, somatic rituals, nature-based wisdom traditions — and the way they weave symbol, sound, body, light and color, the elements, energy and frequency together — are essential pathways to guide us there. Paradoxically, there are many trails to take within these natural realms. Ultimately, awareness is what unifies even the most diverse languages and experiences.
So, pause for a moment and consider: As you move through your life, are you speaking with your whole being — your body; your heart; the meter and tone of your voice; the energy you emit through your eyes? How are you attuning to light and sound? How would your experience of yourself, others, and the world shift if you looked through the lens of archetype? How is the state of the land, air, and water in the environment your mirrored within you?

In partnership with Director Misha Calvert, I will be hosting a live, in-person weekend immersion for artists to tap into the power of somatic practice to empower their craft. Pulling from ancient traditions, concepts in Western psychology, somatic rituals, and emotional alchemy practices, we'll explore how body-mind catharsis creates access to deeper parts of yourself, a doorway to discovering a more divine connection to acting.
To learn more, join a free virtual introductory workshop this Monday at 6pm EST.
Robot Koch and I are coming together at the Wakana Reunion Festival in Spain to offer an immersive deep-listening experience that reveals the transformative power of sound and artful ritual. Venus is the planet is associated with love, beauty, creativity, and finances. On March 2nd she will pause and move backwards through Aires into Pisces, her place of exaltation, until she stations direct on April 13th. Collectively, we’ll be revisiting past relationships and reevalating values, desires, and creative pathways. The invitation is to go back and rework any areas that are standing between you and your highest expression in these areas.
As she travels back, she’ll cross paths with Rahu (the North Node) and Neptune. This will intensify themes of idealism and spirituality. It may bring situations that feel fated or encounters that bring you closer to your true life path. It’s a beautiful time to lean into new experiences and intuitive connections, finding your edge, but to do so with some caution towards escapism and illusion.
Ultimately, this astrology will show up for you based on how these transits are interacting with your natal chart. If you’re curious, let’s dive in and explore. The more aware you are of what’s naturally arising through you and your life, the more you can work with it rather than unconsciously resisting. Your awareness is what determines the path you take through these times.
P.S. Tara Moraleda and I are coming together to offer a two-part workshop to explore these themes in an embodied, felt way. Be on the lookout for more information soon…
