Does anything jump out at you when you look at our February prompt card? Do you immediately gravitate towards one of the words, colors, or the pattern or maybe your mind is searching for a connection?

From Michelle: “I used masking fluid to create the first layer of my background. I had never used it before. I wanted to but was not too sure. The torn flowers and leaves are made from paper that I painted with acrylics. I borrowed the three dots on your pattern to complete the work.”

I love all the texture from the masking fluid pattern in the background to the torn petals and the dimension the torn leaves provide. The dots as her element from the card was such a fun addition! It's one of my favorite things to see how one card can be interpreted in so many ways and all the different things we notice and connect to. 

 

Michelle also mentioned that the challenge is not too overwhelming and works for her as a creative who works full time. I was so happy to hear that! My intention is to provide a framework that is still flexible so you can make it your own and make it work for your life. :)
