Setting up Body Bands At Home
Hey BodyMoves babe! We've heard your interest about including our vertical Body Bands workout at home.

In our Body Moves classes, after the bounce routine, the second half of class is a sculpt & strength section that incorporates hand weights, the 10 lb ring, and in the future may include other small equipment that is easy to obtain, like a band or gliders. In studio we also use our vertical Body Bands, typically every 4-6 weeks.

Due to demand, we will start posting the BodyMoves classes that include this band work in the Digital Studio! This an incredible way to target your mid back, postural muscles and core. If you are interested and able to set them up in your home workout space, here's what you'll need:

We use the black bands in studio, but blue is also a great option - a little lighter in resistance

It's important this goes into a support beam! Otherwise it will not be secure and you will pull the hook and your drywall down.

Our ceiling is a little over 10 feet high in studio. This or a lower ceiling will work. If your ceiling is lower, you will need to put your hands into higher loops on the band than we are using in studio to get the same amount of tension.

Rest assured, these Body Bands are not required. You will still continue to get the BodyMoves classes with the other equipment that you know and love!

And feel free to incorporate this sculpt & strength work, even if you typically do not take the BodyMoves classes. You can skip beyond the cardio bounce section and do the last half of this class as a stand alone workout. I would suggest a Pilates box in place of the rebounder and class uses a rotation of differing equipment - 5lb hand weights, the 10lb Bala ring and bands.

See you online!
