Director's Note: Preparing to Be Unprepared Since becoming LTA’s Executive Director in 2019 it's been my mission to provide our community an artist space to create without exclusionary restraints. Right now, as the federal government plays freeze tag with grant funding, I am grateful for those in our artistic communities who remain steadfast in their dedication to their mission and demonstrate what that means with kindness, compassion, honesty and humanity. LTA stands with the Playwrights’ Center who, along with a growing number of artists and non profit arts organizations across the country, has publicly resisted new federal guidelines from the National Endowment for the Arts to “cease operating any programs promoting ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion.’" PWC says: (Read PWC’s full statement.) Standing in resistance is uncomfortable. But we've been uncomfortable before. |

We had a fantastic time with the wonderful women of FAWK! The collection of stories and humor you shared with our community gave us a unique view of living in the mid-west that many of us would have never otherwise been able to experience. We are so thankful for your dedication to shining a light on Asian women in MN! We're never wearing shoes in the house again. If you missed it, see their work here. |

GET INVOLVED There are many ways you can get involved! Little Theatre Auditorium is a gathering of community artists and arts advocates motivated by a belief in art as a catalyst for social movement and a platform for cultural exchange. We are dedicated to equitable engagement in the development and presentation and the systems of presentation of art in all its forms. Our work is made possible by dedicated artists, musicians, local volunteers, sponsors and individual donors. Together we make LTA a place to gather and share creative, transformative experiences. We recognize our role as stewards of the places we occupy and acknowledge the layers of history integral to them. Be part of making art an everyday experience in New London by making a one-time donation now or becoming a monthly donor. |
