First things first – Happy New Year, folks!

It feels like ages ago but still, I hope you all had a cracking Christmas and New Year, filled with good times, good food, and maybe even a sneaky ceilidh or two.

Mine was a quiet one (just how I like it!) over in North Wales, where I was lucky enough to be cooked for on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day – an absolute result!

Boxing Day football, though?
A total letdown.
Flint Town United got wedi byrstio'n llwyr (absolutely burst) by Connah’s Quay 7-2 ⚽🙄 – not the festive result I was hoping for!

Ceilidhs That Rocked the Festive Season 🎶
We had three absolute crackers between Christmas and New Year. Gunthorpe Village Hall with the Big Moosers was a sell-out, with such a brilliant mix of ages – always great to see.

It was such a success that I’ll be back there on Saturday 27th December 2025 with the Moosers again! Pop that in your diary now – tickets will be available from late September.

The other two were weddings at The Cosy Club in Nottingham and The River Mill, Derby.
I do love winter weddings and these two didn’t disappoint.

🎂 Spot the Familiar Face on Bake Off?!
If not, get it on catch-up, fast-forward to the last five minutes, and you might just spot someone you know… 🍰🎶✨

🔥 Burns Night & Copper City Ceilidhs
January was hectic with Burns ceilidhs, and what a month it was! We had a blast at Copper City, Market Street, Nottingham, and I'm chuffed to say I’ll now be hosting
free ceilidh sessions on the last Wednesday of each month for the rest of the year (with the exception of August and October)!

The first one kicks off on Wednesday 26th February, 8-10 pm. It’s just recorded music, and we’ll be in either the bar area or the function room upstairs depending on the crowd.
If you fancy coming along, please register on Eventbrite
so I have an idea of numbers  – it’s not a big bar!
That link takes you to this months ceilidh,
the full list of links is on our Nottingham Ceilidh Club🏹 webpage.
