CLOUDY
 
In the midst of change, you sometimes find ya self asking, “when is it going to be alright?” 
 
I am going to be honest…being in this “initiation“ of sorts #changeisahhhbrewing has been lowkey whipping my tale and allowing me to confront aspects of myself that is ahhh tad bit 🫣🫣🫣…While learning ways to BE patient and SURRENDERING to the unknown of this thang called life 🌼🌼🌼. 
 
At times I am able to see the light at the end of the tunnel while taking it one step at a time. To to to…times I am frozen in place like a deer in headlights. With the ebb of unease flowing through me…as my thoughts are everywhere but nowhere. It’s like a big whammy (who remembers this game show 😆😆😆) of a cloud that has dropped right into view. To where I am flailing my arms around to make way, but it’s of no use because it’s cloudy again with the chance of rain 😔😔😔…
And all I can remind myself to do is too…
…B R E A T H E…
and ride that wave out…

Right at the cusps of this antsy energy is where I start to do the following…
 
F I R S T 
 I start to acknowledge what is going on by noticing my mannerisms and by listening to my thoughts, such as numbing by watching tv,  not being able to retain information for class, and a oldie but newbie for this year…stress eating
 
N E X T 
I start asking myself, “What’s up my love…I see you are doing the numbing and this anxious eating. What’s going on love…”
 Sidebar, sometimes I am at this step for a few, which can span from a few hours to a couple days. What I have noticed is that a lot of the times I am allowing myself to FEEL out this unease., While also making sense of “what‘s up” by being patient during this time. 
 
T H E N 
I gravitate to what allows me to MOVE this antsy energy.
And the one thang that HANDS DOWN allows me to BE HERE NOW is 🥁🥁🥁…music #musicislife!!
! I randomly end up finding myself being drawn to music that FEEDS my soul, such as this week’s vibe “High Up” by Clear Eyes…that then allows me to find solace from within. 
 
A N D  L A S T L Y  
before ya know it I am back online…Now…I am sometimes not at FULL capacity, but can at least FEEL like I am thawing out and gaining some sense of clarity ☺️☺️☺️

Now, I am going to say that the process of getting back “online” with self is a continuous journey of figuring out what this looks like for you. TRULY a trial and error type of thang. By curating your own mindfulness modalities, which are toolsets that allows one to navigate through mental chatter. Such as in my case: utilizing ”inner dialogue”, patience, and music to help lift the cloudiness. Some other examples of mindfulness modalities are journaling, meditating, breath work, sitting in silence, crocheting, dancing, and so much more…
 
 
So for this week creative fambam, what is one mindfulness modality you can incorporate to help you move through mental chatter?
