The Butler Pantry is Baaack!

Hi First name / Friends,

If there’s one space in the home that holds our hearts (and most of our gatherings), it’s the kitchen. It’s where morning coffee rituals begin, impromptu dance parties happen, and meals become memories. And lately, we’ve been seeing a game-changing addition take center stage—the butler’s pantry.

Once a relic of old-world homes, today’s butler’s pantry is making a serious comeback, blending beauty with function in all the best ways. Think gorgeous tile and flooring, custom cabinetry with hidden storage solutions, and all the latest conveniences—a space designed not just for efficiency but for effortless entertaining.  Whether it’s a dedicated coffee bar, a prep space to keep the main kitchen pristine, or a tucked-away wine station (yes, please!), this little luxury is transforming the way we cook, host, and gather.

In this month’s RTD Round-Up, we’re thrilled to share three stunning kitchen renovations and new builds from the Texas Hill Country—each with its own unique take on modern functionality and timeless design.

So grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) and take a peek inside. We hope you love them as much as we do!

Warmly,

Bring on Moody
For a family that loves to entertain, a well-designed kitchen isn’t just a want—it’s a necessity. The original space, though well-loved, lacked the storage and modern functionality needed to keep up with daily life. Our solution? A complete transformation that seamlessly blends style with purpose.

We reimagined the layout, converting the existing laundry room into a hardworking butler’s pantry and coffee bar—creating a dedicated space for prep, storage, and those quiet early-morning rituals (intro image).

A special request from the homeowners was a cozy sitting nook, where they now begin each day with coffee and wind down every evening with a glass of wine. The result? A warm, inviting, and effortlessly functional kitchen that truly serves as the family hub.

Kitchen Elements
This lively family kitchen is more than just a place to cook—it’s the central gathering spot designed for family dinners, homework and hanging out. For this family of four, the kitchen remodel was all about creating a space that feels as inspiring as it is functional.

With Dad’s impressive collection of Contemporary Western Art woven throughout the home, every detail was designed to complement and celebrate his passion. A unique touch? The client carefully selected one-of-a-kind hides for the backs of the bar stools, adding texture and a nod to the home’s Western spirit. The result? A kitchen that blends family, history, and creativity—where art meets function in the most beautiful way.

While the kitchen was reworked to better accommodate daily life and entertaining, the home’s artistic soul continues upstairs, where Dad’s office and gallery-style gentleman's den offer the perfect retreat for his collection.

Heart of the Home
We worked on this total remodel for over a year, and the kitchen became the true heart of the home—warm, inviting, and layered with personality. Designed for a lively family of five, this space embodies an eclectic aesthetic that reflects their warmth and creativity.

Starting with a gorgeous earthy tile floor that set the color palette, infusing the space with rich, timeworn character. From there, we layered in custom cabinetry, thoughtfully chosen accessories, and art, creating a kitchen that feels both curated and lived-in. Touches of titian and marigold add depth and warmth, balancing natural materials with a soft, welcoming glow.

Every detail—from the vintage finds to the modern conveniences—was carefully considered, making this kitchen a perfect fusion of function, beauty, and the owners’ unique spirit. The result? A true collaboration, and a space that exudes joy, history, and home.
