They say you can't avoid death or taxes.
Why don't we say the same thing about life and love?
Today—that is, Valentine's Day—I'll be meeting with my accountant. She's awesome, and I've come prepared this year, so hopefully, it won't be as painful as my dentist appointment last month.
(Frankly, I love my dentist, too.)
Once I get business out of the way, I'll turn my sight on romance:
a beautiful setting and a great meal with the love of my life.
This year, V-Day falls on a Friday, giving Martin and me two more days to celebrate our mutual love and appreciation. After several days of drizzle, it looks like San Francisco will enjoy temperatures in the mid-fifties and partly sunny (I refuse to call it “partly cloudy”) skies, which means we can hike in a great setting, and perhaps take in one of our local museums—always a treat!
Speaking of love, if chocolate is one of yours, enter to win a box from San Francisco's Ghirardelli! All you have to do is tell me about the great love of your life.
I'll announce the winner in next week's newsletter.
I'll also be announcing the winners of the gift cards for my Housewife Assassin's Deep State Deep Fake Bake-Off Excerpt Contest, so stay tuned!
