It's a GOAL!!!!
What does that mean? I
As I write this, we are sat looking out on a very windy and rainy day in Wales, I've taken a few days off to recharge and even with the challenging weather it's a great time to reflect on the goals I'd like to achieve in the coming weeks.
The thing about goals is that people nearly often try and achieve the overall goal and not the things that help to achieve the goal so ultimately fail! Let me explain further about inputs…
- If you want to lose Weight, don't focus on the scale number, but instead focus on the INPUTS - amount of Calories, Exercise Minutes and Sleep Numbers. That will positively help achieve the goal where as just weighing in won't.
- If you want to make a Profit, don't focus on the profit number, instead focus on the INPUTS - Leads, Sales and Costs for example. By tackling the inputs gets you to your goal.
- If you want to generate more Leads, don't focus on the overall amount, but instead focus on the INPUTS - Platforms used, Amount of People Contacted, Open and Click Rates, Conversion % etc. By tackling the inputs shows you where your lead generation could be failing.
(You get the idea by now…)
Inputs are all those things that help you achieve your goal and because you have broken them down you can have a bigger impact as you are in control of more areas.
