Hi First name / Slothies!
Welcome to the newly revamped Vine—your fresh dose of Savvy Sloth wisdom! Hopefully you like our glow up.
Today, on the last day of February, I’m feeling all the mixed emotions. I don't know if you're feeling this way but for me life feels ROUGH right now. Is it winter depression, the luteal phase, the WILD state of the world or maybe all of the above, option E?
If you're feeling like life is lifeing and things just aren't going as smoothly as you'd like, today's newsletter is for you.
No matter what life throws our way, it's important to keep reminding ourselves that feelings of sadness, dread, and worry are temporary.
They don’t last forever, and they certainly don’t define who we are. We are worthy of rest, kindness, love, and chasing our dreams always. The simple fact that you woke up today and are reading this note means you're entitled to all those things and more!
When the world feels heavy, I lean on three simple acts to help find my balance: declutter, reflect, and dream. I'm sharing these in hopes that they help you too and get you back to feeling like your fabulous self!
- Declutter:
Clearing out old items from your space helps clear the clutter from your mind. I’ve been decluttering small areas in my home lately, and it’s given me a sense of control and renewed clarity. It’s amazing how letting go of the old can pave the way for a fresh mindset. This week's blog touches on this concept and breaks down how to declutter your closet like a pro!
- Reflect:
When things seem at their worst, I find ways to see the good—whether that’s journaling my feelings, jotting down what I’m grateful for, or looking back on how far I’ve come. Taking time to look inward reminds me that I have the power to make things better and focus on what’s within my control.
- Dream:
Just as reflecting on the past grounds us, dreaming about the future gives us something to look forward to. I love creating Pinterest boards, making wishlists, or planning a fun trip or activity. Dreaming fuels hope and inspires action, reminding us that each day holds the promise of new beginnings.
Even on the toughest days, remember that small, mindful steps can lead to big, beautiful changes.
XOXO,
Renee
