Hey First name / friend,

This Friday couldn’t have come soon enough. It’s been full-on here—the last school holiday for the Dutchies to squeeze in a ski trip, kids bouncing on my lap in the home office, mini work trips, and tying up loose ends on itineraries and bookings. I’m cooked.

So, I’ll keep this short and wrap up the month with a few things I’ve curated for you—travel trends (lots on points travel below), a little armchair escape, and a spotlight on longer stays in case you’re feeling the pull for an extended getaway.

I’m endlessly grateful for you all and the thoughtful responses you send my way. Knowing these emails bring you inspiration means the world, and I love connecting with each of you.

Now, who’s excited for March?

Big hugs,
đź–¤ Katy

An Airline Designed for Neurodivergent Travelers
Emirates is on track to become the world's first Autism Certified Airline, training over 30,000 crew and ground staff to better support autistic travelers and their families. This initiative includes sensory-friendly airport spaces, clearer boarding processes, and inflight adjustments tailored for neurodivergent needs. A major step toward more accessible air travel.

Rethinking Airline Rewards
Following the points-spending debacle above, a new solution is emerging. Travel tech startup Arcube is rethinking loyalty programs, allowing airlines to offer perks travelers actually use—lounge access, chauffeur services, and priority boarding instead of miles that often go to waste. With Etihad already on board and 14 other airlines paying attention, a shake-up may be coming. More here.

Another Port Says No to Big Ships
Nice is the latest European city moving to ban large cruise ships, citing overcrowding, economic imbalance, and environmental concerns—joining Venice and Barcelona in the fight to limit mass tourism’s impact. Industry pushback is strong, but change may be inevitable. Details here.

More than just a quick getaway—maybe a fresh perspective, trying something totally new, or an extended dose of self-care? I got you. These hotels (and plenty more we can recommend) welcome those looking to settle in for a bit with generous long-stay discounts. If you have a destination in mind that’s not listed here, reach out, and we'll find the right fit.
