Hi First name / there,
I thought it would be nice if I told you a little bit about myself so you could get to know me better!
I live in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 with my two cats, Max and Lola. I'm queer 🏳️🌈 with she/her pronouns. I'm a tea drinker, yogi and I love travelling. I went to Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated in Arts and Contemporary Studies with a major in Culture and Entertainment. I've always had an interest in pop culture and fashion.
I tried out a lot of jobs in my 20s, including interning at a fashion magazine, and I ultimately decided I wanted to work for myself. I wanted to be my own boss and work my own way, but I didn't know what I wanted to do. So I started off as a professional organizer in 2019 when Marie Kondo and The Home Edit were really popular. It was a big time for professional organizers, and I knew how to organize, so I thought that would be a good way to start working for myself.
Then the pandemic hit and I couldn't go into people's homes to organize anymore. I also wasn't quite sure if it was what I wanted to do—it wasn't quite feeling right. A friend asked me, "Well, what's your favourite part so far?" and I said making my Squarespace website! She said, "Well, why don't you become a Squarespace designer?" And that's what kicked this all off.
I took ilovecreative's Squarespace design course in March 2020 and everything changed for me. I found this amazing community of website designers and Squarespacers. I eventually became a TA for the course, and that's when I realized I love answering people's questions, giving advice, and helping people with the technical side of things.
That helped me realize that I'm good at Squarespace development, but that I also really like sharing my knowledge with others. I've found that the Squarespace community is such a giving community—we all love sharing information and making friends. That's one of the best things about what I do: the people I've met 💫
One of the things I was worried about when I wanted to work for myself was not having coworkers. But I've met so many amazing people through this job and this online community. I adore working with people from all around the world and meeting people from different backgrounds and places.
I'm excited to connect with you and share my Squarespace expertise. Whether you need help with your website or just want to chat about the possibilities, I'm here to help!
