Hi First name / there,

I thought it would be nice if I told you a little bit about myself so you could get to know me better!

I live in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 with my two cats, Max and Lola. I'm queer 🏳️‍🌈 with she/her pronouns. I'm a tea drinker, yogi and I love travelling. I went to Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated in Arts and Contemporary Studies with a major in Culture and Entertainment. I've always had an interest in pop culture and fashion.

I tried out a lot of jobs in my 20s, including interning at a fashion magazine, and I ultimately decided I wanted to work for myself. I wanted to be my own boss and work my own way, but I didn't know what I wanted to do. So I started off as a professional organizer in 2019 when Marie Kondo and The Home Edit were really popular. It was a big time for professional organizers, and I knew how to organize, so I thought that would be a good way to start working for myself.

Then the pandemic hit and I couldn't go into people's homes to organize anymore. I also wasn't quite sure if it was what I wanted to do—it wasn't quite feeling right. A friend asked me, "Well, what's your favourite part so far?" and I said making my Squarespace website! She said, "Well, why don't you become a Squarespace designer?" And that's what kicked this all off.

I took ilovecreative's Squarespace design course in March 2020 and everything changed for me. I found this amazing community of website designers and Squarespacers. I eventually became a TA for the course, and that's when I realized I love answering people's questions, giving advice, and helping people with the technical side of things.

That helped me realize that I'm good at Squarespace development, but that I also really like sharing my knowledge with others. I've found that the Squarespace community is such a giving community—we all love sharing information and making friends. That's one of the best things about what I do: the people I've met 💫

One of the things I was worried about when I wanted to work for myself was not having coworkers. But I've met so many amazing people through this job and this online community. I adore working with people from all around the world and meeting people from different backgrounds and places.

I'm excited to connect with you and share my Squarespace expertise. Whether you need help with your website or just want to chat about the possibilities, I'm here to help!

New Squarespace Features

  • Blog management updates: Have you seen the new blog panel layout? It’s now easier to get back to the Blog Overview page! Blog page content, posts, and management tools are located in the Pages panel’s Blog Content header. Access panel button links to manage pricing plans and paywalls under the Selling Tools header.

  • New US site plans: All US-based customers will have access to the new Basic, Core, Plus, and Advanced plans for new websites. Existing US-based customers with sites on a legacy plan can choose to keep their site’s current plan or switch to one of the new plans. Customers outside the US will also have the option to switch plans as they become available in their region. Learn More

  • Removing demo content in template store sites: Version 7.1 sites started from the template store will no longer contain demo content.

This means that the demo content that previously came with Templates showed a "demo" label, but it behaved differently to the other pages and content on the newly cloned site. While they were in the demo state, those pages and assets did not reside on the website, but rather, were aliased and actually referenced a staged "master" site hosted elsewhere. The user needed the click on the demo content to then have it copied over the user’s website.

So now when a site builder creates a site from a template, the Squarespace platform will immediately generate a complete copy of that template and its assets. Learn More
