Issue #35 | March 3, 2025

Welcome back to Beyond the Tour where twice a month you'll receive practical tips and resources to help you get better at what you do. No fluff. All business.

Let's do this.

If You Do One Thing This Week:
🛒 1. Give families a good sale.
Planning your acceptance swag bags? Include a coupon to your school merch store. Make it easy for prospective students to get excited about wearing school apparel, and it doesn't hurt for them to be out there as walking ads for the school.

If you've already sent out your welcome gifts, you can send the coupon as a follow-up touchpoint.

And if you're not yet sending out welcome gifts, let's change that. A little bit of hospitality goes a long way.

2 Tips to DO MORE:
🗣️ 2. Keep your colleagues informed
As enrollment contracts start to come in, let the faculty and staff know. It will build excitement interally which will expand externally. They are on the front lines, and letting them know about next year's enrollment is good for everyone.

How to do this: Include an Admission blurb in in the weekly faculty bulletin. Sprinkle in some Admission pixie dust each week to build excitement around next year's students.
📋 3. Get real talking points.
If you have had families transfer from another school to your school, ask them "What would you tell families about our school that you couldn't get from our website." Write that down. Use that language in your talking points with families and in your marketing.
